Kidnotes is designed for musicians who prepare music for beginning players (primarily piano students); it works with Coda Music Technology’s Finale in conjunction with the Maestro and Petrucci music fonts that come with the program (Sibelius users: click here for a specialized version that works with your notation program of choice). Below is a quick look at the output:
Kidnotes comes with prepared templates for use with Finale, so all you have to do is open the piano staff and start entering music--notes with letter names embedded will show up instantly.
While Kidnotes requires Finale to create music scores, the characters can all be used in any word processor or page layout program as well.
